GOLF COURSE

In 2004, Suuresta opened its initial 9-hole golf course in the capital region and the size of the course was enlarged to a full championship quality 18 holes in 2007.

Architect Pekka Sivula, SAFA, has with several year design experience managed to create the course to be a beautiful, harmonic entity, which is functioning on the terms of the nature. The course included beautiful peaceful views and carefully designed fairways to challenge both the advanced player and the beginner.

In the first 9-hole course during the three first fairways te player gets the feel of the course at its southern end without any bigger hindrances.  the fourth fairway is already a little more challenging - the stream and ponds at the eastern side of the course require accuracy when directing the hit.  The hillocky fairways number five, six and seven calm the feeling regardless of the bunkers.  Fairway number eight to the west and number nine when returning to the club are again more challenging because of the water obstacle.

Fairways 10, 11 and 12 are narrow with water hindrances causing a challenge in park surrounding. Fairway 13 is relative easy par 3, however, the river is a challenge. Fairway 14 is a long par 5, where are challenging water obstacles. Fairways 15, 16 and 17 are peaceful to play in a park surrounding in spite of the sand and water obstacles. The last fairway 18 is a short par 3 and gives a final successful feeling.
